the norwalk is ideal for commercial use
(Los Angeles California)
I got a Norwalk after wanting one for years. I have to say in comparison to the other juicers I've had, it's definitely my favorite.
Just to give you some perspective, I've owned the commercial grade Champion and the commercial grade Uniworld.
Both of those other units cost much less than the Norwalk, but they broke down under the heavy daily use needed for my juice bar. The juice bar does a fairly steady business and I needed to upgrade after repeated repairs.
The Norwalk extracts more and can do bulk batches much more efficiently than the other two brands. For home juicing it is probably too much, but for commercial applications I can set one employee to juicing for an hour in the morning and have enough set up for the morning and lunch crowd.
I do the different vegetables in separate batches. For example carrots first, which make up the bulk. A smaller batch of beet, and a smaller batch of ginger.
Then when customer order we can customize their drink for them by adding in the extra ingredients they want.
It is so much easier than when we were doing each drink by hand and I'm saving a lot in employee costs because it is very efficient.
I don't know who would want the Norwalk for home juicing, but for commercial applications I've been very pleased.
