Juiceman JM-300 by Farberware (model just before the 400)

My name is Daryl E. and I am from Houston, Texas. This is a review of my Juiceman JM-300 by Farberware. I had an older model of Juiceman and had pretty good luck so I decided to purchase a new model of the Juiceman.

I have to say that I am not very happy with this product. Too much pulp gets by the screen. It does not have near the power as the older models had.

The unit has two speeds but could use a third one. Taking the unit apart for cleaning is a real chore. It is hard to get clean. I enjoy carrot juice and fruit juices but it usually takes over forty five minutes to get one glass of juice. I run about 5 carrots through it and it really starts plugging up so I have to stop and take it apart to clean.

The parts get stuck together and I have had to use a screwdriver to pry them apart. I am afraid I will soon damage the screen while trying to remove it. This really makes the machine less user friendly than other ones I have owned or used.

On the up side it appears to be built well and is more compact than my older one. The opening is large enough to put a whole apple without cutting up. The container for collecting pulp is large so that doesn't seem to be a problem. The unit is fairly quiet but will easily bog down if you over feed it. It doesn't take much to bog it down, I just have to work slower.

I am pretty sure this unit will be in my next garage sale. I don't feel right about returning it because for what I paid was probably a fair price for this particular unit.

I suggest if you want something easier to use and clean to shop around first before purchasing. I will do that from now on.
