Green Star Elite not Dishwasher Safe

First, this is not a review. I just couldn't find any other way to contact you.

I don't own this juicer yet but will probably buy it. I just had a few questions and comments about your review of it.

First I noticed your review mentions all the parts for the Green Star Elite are dishwasher safe. I find this to be in conflict with the juicer's operation manual which I found at http://www.2-life.com/site/gse_manual.pdf and says "NEVER put any parts into the dishwasher." Did you get information that says otherwise? I'd love to have this type of juicer and it be dishwasher safe but it won't be a deal breaker for me.

I also noticed in your review in the sidebar under the heading JUICING CAPABILITIES that this juicer is not capable of juicing wheatgrass while I could find many other places in your review that says it can. The manual also says it can.

Also it would be nice to have a way to send you comments other than through this review form.

All this is meant as constructive criticism and for the benefit of future readers. I found your site helpful in reaching my choice for a juicer.

Thanks for the "constructive criticism." We appreciate it! We had gathered information from many websites that stated the new Green Star Elite featured dishwasher safe parts. The Tribest (www.tribest.com) website doesn't have the Elite listed yet, so we had to go to alternative sources for our information.

Here are two of those sources (well known online juicer retailers):

From www.discountjuicers.com, "The GSE's juicing parts are also now made heat resistant and can now be used in dishwashers!"

From www.harvestessentials.blogspot.com, "The Green Star Elite GSE-5000's juicing parts are also now made heat resistant and can now be used in dishwashers."

I checked into it further by calling Tribest corporation (the manufacturer of the Green Star juicer line). I spoke with their customer service representative Sarah who informed me that the Elite does not have dishwasher safe parts.

So thanks for correcting us on that! I'm away from my desktop (where I can update our webpages), but as soon as I get back to it (a week or so from now) I will update our page to reflect the lack of dishwasher safe parts.

Thank you also for bringing it to our attention that our sidebar indicated the Green Star Elite doesn't juice wheatgrass. That was obviously an oversight on our part and we will update that
asap as well.

Pierre, when you do make your decision on which juicer to get, we'd love it if you'd come back and share a review of it, so other visitors can make the right decision for themselves.

In the meantime, enjoy that Canadian winter. I'm sure it's beautiful up there...
