Getting around Greens

Norwalk owners can easily avoid generating heat by having an extra "juicing grid" on hand. The "juicing grid" (that's what it's called) is new to the 275 and is between grid sizes 1 and 2.

It was designed purposely to help eliminate the heat issue and it does a good job. If you should find that your grid is clogging, simply pull it out, scrape it off with the grid holder (you can keep the scrapings aside to press later), toss it in a bowl of water, and replace it with the second grid.

Unlike screens, the holes on the grids are much too large to seriously clog and you can just keep swapping grids back and forth until you're done juicing.

If you want to get really anal, you an also store the housing and cutter in the freezer prior to juicing but it's really not necessary. As to wheatgrass, the machine makes great juice as long as you're juicing a lot of grass; it also helps to freeze it. You might want to bite the bullet and get a good manual juicer for grasses.
