Tips for juicing wheatgrass in the Champion
by: Anonymous

When I juice wheatgrass in my Champion Juicer, I roll the grass into walnut sized bundles before putting it down the feeding chute. That way the grass doesn't just wrap around the cutter and the cutter teeth break it up better. You'll need to put a lot of downward pressure on each bundle of grass to force it onto the cutter and make sure its processed before feeding in the next bundle. If you don't, then the grass just backs up in the chute.

Wheatgrass is more tough fiber than juice so it helps to dip the grass in water first or add a piece of juicy apple or cucumber to help lubricate the fiberous pulp to help it flow through the juicer.

I've heard that a new wheatgrass and leafy greens attachment for the Champion Juicer is being launched this month - April 2011 - and that the Champion will then be the fastest wheatgrass juicer on the planet. This means the Champion will juice everything faster than other masticating juicers. But if you can't afford the new attachment, I hope these tips will help.
